Focusing on Enterprise Compliance Talent Development and Establishing an Interdisciplinary Teaching and Research Platform – Renmin Law School Successfully Launched the Series of Courses on "Cutting-Edge Theories and Practical Applications of Corporate Compliance."

Enterprise compliance is an important indicator of the modernization of corporate governance systems and capabilities, and it is also a crucial component of the modernization of national governance systems and capabilities. Enterprise compliance has gained significant attention in the legal and practical fields, and there is an urgent need for theoretical guidance and support from compliance professionals. Compliance officers have become a hot new profession.In response to the demands of practice and society and with the goal of building a top-tier discipline and nurturing top-tier talent, Renmin Law School launched the series of courses on "Cutting-Edge Theories and Practical Applications of Corporate Compliance" in the fall semester of 2021. This marked the first time that a specialized corporate compliance course was offered among China's top-tier law schools, aiming to train dedicated compliance professionals, marking a significant milestone.The series of courses brings together top experts in the field of corporate compliance, combining cutting-edge theories with rich practical experience. It aims to train and produce multi-disciplinary professionals with in-depth knowledge of corporate compliance and practical skills in compliance operations. The courses create an interdisciplinary teaching and research platform that bridges theory and practice.

The series of forums is co-hosted by the Institute of Law Practice at Renmin University of China, the Institute for International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Resolution at Renmin University of China, the Interdisciplinary Platform for Technological Revolution and Future Rule of Law at Renmin University of China, and WeiHeng Law Firm in Beijing.

The courses, starting with the introduction of cutting-edge theories, establish a theoretical and knowledge framework for students in the field of corporate compliance. They then focus on key areas of traditional compliance, such as antitrust compliance, anti-bribery compliance, anti-corruption compliance, and international regulatory compliance. They also cover emerging areas like personal data protection compliance, data compliance, and cross-border financial compliance. The courses provide a comprehensive understanding of practical compliance operations, connecting various compliance scenarios, helping students master cutting-edge theories, expand their thinking, gain new perspectives, and acquire new methods.
