Salon Review | The 1st Youth Academic Salon on Civil Code and Digital Law Successfully Held

On November 13, 2025, the 1st Youth Academic Salon on Civil Code and Digital Law was success fully held in Conference Room 205 of the Mingd e Law Building. The event was jointly hosted by the Renmin University of China Law School,the Research Center of Civil and Commercial Jurisprudence of Renmin University of China, the Renmin University of China Law and Techonology Insititute, and the Virtual Teaching and Research Offices(VTROs) at Renmin University of China. The Youth Academic Salon on Civil Code and Digital Law is dedicated to fostering in-depth exchanges and academic collaboration among young scholars. Through the presentation, discussion, and review of academic papers, it aims to enhance research capabilities and academic writing proficiency, thereby promoting innovation and growth in young legal scholarship.

During the salon, two keynote presentations were delivered: "On Partial Joint and Several Liability in Tort Law" by Ruan Shenyu, Assistant Professor at the Renmin University of China Law School, and "Research on the Protection Model of Publicly Available Personal Information in the Context of Generative Artificial Intelligence" by Bian Qi, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Renmin University of China Law School. The presentations were reviewed by a panel of distinguished scholars, including Xue Yisa, Assistant Professor at the University of International Business and Economics Law School; Que Zibing, Assistant Professor at the Renmin University of China Law School; Bao Dingyurui, Assistant Professor at the Renmin University of China Law School; Li Yiwen, Boya Postdoctoral Fellow at Peking University Law School; Zuo Zhenbin, Assistant Professor at the University of Essex Law School; Yu Liangliang, Editor at China Law Review; Li Mingxuan, Lecturer at School of Interdisciplinary Studies of Renmin University of China; Wang Nian, Research Assistant at Tsinghua University Law School; and Ding Tingwei, Boya Postdoctoral Fellow at Peking University Law School.
