World Rule of Law Forum in the Era of AI | The Sixth International Conference on the Future Rule of Law and Digital Law Successfully Held
time:2025-10-10From October 3 to 4, 2025, the Sixth International Conference on the Future Rule of Law and Digital Law was successfully convened at the Run Run Shaw Conference Center of Renmin University of China. This forum served as one of the thematic forums of “The Fourth 21st Century International Forum of Law School Deans and Jurists & World Rule of Law Forum in the Era of AI” hosted by Renmin University of China. It was jointly organized by the RUC Law School and JD.com, and co-hosted by the Law and Technology Institute, Renmin University of Chin, JD Legal Research Institute, and Center for the Study of Rule of Law in China of Jilin University. Supporting units included the Editorial Office of Digital Law of the People's Court Press, the Digital Law Teaching and Research Center of RUC Law School, the MOE Philosophy and Social Sciences Innovation Team on "New Technological Revolution and the Future Rule of Law" and the International Digital Law Association.
Over the course of a day and a half, more than 80 experts and scholars from China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, Japan, Singapore, and other countries delivered presentations and held discussions on themes including the legal framework and global governance of artificial intelligence, intellectual property and data systems in an intelligent society, smart governance of online platforms and digital labor, and the institutional forms and future rule of law in digital civilization. The forum attracted over 200 guests from relevant professional fields and industries, both domestic and international, to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the future rule of law and digital legal studies.
