On February 27, 2025, Renmin University of China hosted the opening argumentation meeting for the Supreme People’s Court’s 2024 major judicial research project, “Research on the Tort Liability of Generative Artificial Intelligence Service Providers.” The project, led by Renmin University of China’s Law School, is chaired by Zhang Jiyu, Associate Professor at the Law School and Executive Director of the Future Rule of Law Research Institute, and Li Mingxuan, Researcher at Beijing Junce Intellectual Property Development Center and Postdoctoral Fellow at Renmin University of China’s Interdisciplinary Research Institute. The event was co-hosted by Renmin University of China’s Law School and Beijing Junce Intellectual Property Development Center and organized by the Future Rule of Law Research Institute, the Digital Law Teaching and Research Center of the Law School, and the Ministry of Education’s Philosophy and Social Sciences Innovation Team, “New Technological Revolution and Future Rule of Law Innovation Team.
