On July 10, 2026, an academic lecture jointly hosted by the Renmin University of China Law School, Renmin Law and Technology Institute, and Intellectual Property Academy of Renmin University of China, together with WIPO China, was successfully held in a hybrid format, both online and in Room 502 of the Mingde Law Building. The lecture featured Professor Andreas Sattler from the Institute for Information and Economic Law at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as the keynote speaker. The event was moderated by Assistant Professor Sun Jingzhou of Renmin University of China Law School, with doctoral candidate Tian Yuyang from the School of Law serving as a discussant.

The lecture provided a systematic clarification of key issues concerning the application of law within the data governance frameworks of China and the European Union, and offered valuable insights into the legal challenges arising at the institutional level. The lecture concluded successfully amid a lively and engaging atmosphere of academic discussion.
