First National Research Society on Digital Economy and Digital Governance Established in Beijing, Releases First Research Report on Digital Economy Legislation

The conference was organized by the Institute of Cross-Science and the Future Rule of Law Institute of Renmin University of China.
Zhang Wenxian, member of the party group and director of the Academic Committee of the China Law Society; Xiao Youmao, secretary of the party group and full-time vice president of the Beijing Municipal Law Society; Lu Xin, president of the China Society of Vocational and Technical Education and former vice minister of the Ministry of Education; Zhang Qiong, former head of the Expert Advisory Group of the Anti-Monopoly Committee of the State Council, former deputy director of the State Council's Legislative Affairs Office, and professor; Wang Zhongmin, former vice president of the National Council for Social Security Fund; Li Youping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Mr. Chen Ronghui from the Science and Technology Department of the Central Office of Secrecy, Mr. Wang Yi, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Renmin University of China, Mr. Huang Wenyi, Dean of the School of Law of Renmin University of China, Mr. Chen Baoshan, former Executive Deputy Director of the Office of the State Council's Joint Conference on Anti-counterfeiting Currency, and Mr. Du Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the People's Court of Beijing's Pinggu District, were present at the meeting. More than 500 government, industry, academia, research experts and practical people attended the meeting through online and offline, and more than 100,000 people watched the inaugural meeting through online live broadcast.
In the speech session, the attending leaders pointed out that as the first research institute on digital economy and digital governance in the country, the institute is in line with the achievements and experiences made by Renmin University of China over the years of deep plowing in the field of digital economy and digital governance research. The establishment of the Institute is a vivid embodiment of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and an important initiative, which is of great significance and far-reaching impact.
The Research Society has taken the lead in establishing the Special Committee on Data Elements and the Special Committee on Meta-Universe, and uniting other relevant organizations across the country to jointly launch the National Research Alliance on Digital Economy and Digital Governance to deepen the specialized research on the development of the digital economy and the rule of law, to provide the doctrinal basis for the construction of the basic system of the digital economy, to improve the level of innovation and the governance of the digital economy, and to carry out cross-scientific research on interdisciplinarity and multi-dimensionality in law, economy, science and technology. research, promote the role of data elements, enhance the digital governance capacity in key areas, and contribute to serving Chinese-style modernization.
In the keynote report session, the research group of Beijing Digital Economy and Digital Governance Rule of Law Research Association released China's first research report on digital economy legislation. The report points out that, in line with the development needs of the digital economy, we should accelerate the construction of the digital economy legislative system, regulate in the development, regulate in the development, and strengthen, optimize and expand China's digital economy.

The second stage of the conference is the inaugural meeting of the Research Society. The General Assembly elected the head of the Research Society, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board, Yang Dong was elected president, Li Yuhua and other vice presidents, and Zhang Jiyu was elected secretary general.
