On September 26, 2024, the mid-term review meeting for the National Science and Technology Major Project on Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence, "Research on Legislation System for Trusted Artificial Intelligence," was successfully held at the Law School of Renmin University of China.

The project is led by Professor Wang Yi, Vice President of Renmin University of China, and undertaken by Renmin University of China in collaboration with seven other institutions, including the China Electronics Standardization Institute, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Peking University, and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). More than 30 participants attended the meeting, including project supervisors from the Information Division of the High-Tech Development Center of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, officials from the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, experts from the mid-term review panel, the project leader, and project team members.
