Conference Review | Symposium on Data Legal System Held
time:2023-11-14On the afternoon of November 4, 2023, the Symposium on Data Legal Systems was held in Lecture Hall 601 of the Mingde Law Building at Renmin University of China. The symposium was jointly organized by the Law School of Renmin University of China, the Civil Law Research Association of the China Law Society, the Renmin University of China Civil and Commercial Law Research Center, the Renmin Law and Technology Institute, the Digital Law Teaching and Research Center of the Law School of Renmin University of China, the Interdisciplinary Platform for Technological Revolution and Future Rule of Law, the Science and Technology Innovation 2030 – "Next-Generation Artificial Intelligence" Major Project, and the Research Group on the "Institutional Construction of Trustworthy AI Legislation." Legal scholars and experts from domestic academia, as well as representatives from various industries and enterprises, were invited to participate in the symposium.

Chen Jun, Business Director of Suzhou Big Data Group, Chairman of Suzhou Data Asset Operation Company, and General Manager of Suzhou Big Data Exchange, explained the situation of data circulation from the perspective of market exploration

Xiong Bingwan, Associate Professor of the Law School at Renmin University of China, Executive Director of the Platform Governance Research Center of the Renmin Law and Technology Institute, provided several supplementary points on data property rights, starting from the international exchange of relevant systems
