The Forum on Intellectual Property and Digital Economy Ecosystem Construction at the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference was held
time:2025-07-05On the afternoon of July 2, the Forum on Intellectual Property and Digital Economy Ecosystem Construction of the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference was held at the Beijing National Convention Center. The forum was co-organized by the Beijing Intellectual Property Office, the Beijing People’s Procuratorate, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, and the Law School of Renmin University of China. It received support from the Institute of Future Law Research Institute at Renmin University and the MOE Philosophy and Social Sciences Innovation Team on "New Technological Revolution and Future Rule of Law Innovation."Attendees included representatives from national and municipal government departments, universities, intellectual property service agencies, and enterprises in the digital economy sector.
Liang Xinxin, Director of the Strategic Planning Department of the National Intellectual Property Administration, Zhu Yaping, Procurator-General of the Beijing Municipal People's Procuratorate, and Ding Zhangchun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Municipal People's Government, attended the forum and delivered speeches. The speech session was hosted by Meng Bo, Director of the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau.
In the keynote speech session, eight Chinese and foreign guests shared their research results and practical experience, and offered suggestions on how to better integrate intellectual property into the development of the digital economy, focusing on issues such as data attribute discussion, intellectual property protection and application, and the construction of intellectual property dispute prediction and resolution mechanisms. These guests included Zhang Xinbao, Senior Chair Professor of Wu Yuzhang at the Law School of Renmin University of China, academic leader of digital law, and Vice President of the Cyberspace and Information Law Research Association of the China Law Society; Lü Benfu, Vice President of the China National Innovation and Development Strategy Research Association and Professor at the School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences; Bryant Walker Smith, Associate Professor (invited) from the School of Law and School of Engineering, University of South Carolina, USA; Jiang Shuzhen, Procurator-General of the Haidian District People's Procuratorate of Beijing; Zhao Changxin, Vice President of the Beijing Internet Court; Fan Zhiyong, Vice President of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.; Liu Xiaoqing, General Counsel of 360 Group; and Ran Ruixue, Partner of Covington & Burling LLP, USA.
