On April 22, 2026, the Law School and the Law and Technology Institute of Renmin University of China successfully held an academic lecture titled “Understanding ‘Emergence’ in AI Systems: A Demystifying Account for Normative Analysis.” The lecture featured Dr. Daria Kim, Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, as the keynote speaker. It was moderated by Professor Zhang Jiyu of Renmin University of China Law School, with Assistant Professor Li Huaxian of Renmin University of China Law School and Lecturer Li Mingxuan of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Sciences, Renmin University of China serving as discussants.
