On the afternoon of November 5, 2022, the "National Universities 'Digital Jurisprudence' Alliance Meeting and Digital Jurisprudence Symposium" hosted by the School of Law of Renmin University of China (RUC), organized by the Institute for the Future Rule of Law of RUC and the Digital Jurisprudence Teaching and Research Center of the School of Law of RUC "was successfully held in 601 Lecture Hall, Mingde Law Building, Renmin University of China.

In recent years, science and technology such as the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things have developed rapidly. The report of the 20th Party Congress proposed to "accelerate the development of the digital economy, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and create internationally competitive digital industry clusters", and to promote the "construction of digital China". General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that it is necessary to "accelerate the construction of digital China" and "adapt to the new historical orientation of China's development". The report of the 20th Party Congress and a series of important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the construction of "digital China" have pointed out the direction of the digital rule of law and provided a fundamental guideline.

On the basis of careful study and judgment of the law of development of digital law discipline, the School of Law of Renmin University of China took the lead in setting up the Digital Law Teaching and Research Center and establishing the secondary discipline of digital law, which further responds to the strategic needs of the Party and the state and the needs of the construction of digital China, especially the construction of digital rule of law. Universities and research institutes across the country are the main force of digital jurisprudence research, and the construction of digital jurisprudence discipline is an important mission and responsibility for the development of jurisprudence discipline under the dual strategic framework of the construction of digital China and the construction of China's rule of law.

This conference focuses on the development of "digital jurisprudence" alliance of national colleges and universities as well as the major theoretical and practical problems in the construction of "digital jurisprudence" discipline, with the goal of promoting the communication and mutual assistance between national colleges and universities and research institutions, promoting the construction of digital jurisprudence discipline system, and deeply discussing the future development of digital jurisprudence. The conference will discuss the future development of digital jurisprudence. The meeting was held in a combination of offline and online, from the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the China Law Society, the Central Internet Information Office, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Jilin University, the China University of Political Science and Law, the University of International Business and Economics, the East China University of Political Science and Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, Southeast University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the People's Court Publishing House and other units of experts and scholars attended the meeting.
