Abstract: To understand the problem“how to read the classics oflaw”, on the one hand, we need to understand the significance of readingfor university study; on the other hand, we need to master several specificreading methods. As far as the former is concerned, reading is actually aprocess of self-education, so it is in fact a constituent factor of collegeeducation or study. As far as the latter is concerned, reading by chance isequivalent to retracing the process of writing or research,mastering thefollowing research methods and carrying out reverse operation, which isequivalent to reading methods. Specifically, this includes Euclid's proofmethod, analysis-synthesis method and thought experiment.
