Seminar Recap | Disaggregating Servers, Scaling Infrastructure: The Meta Data Centre Example

On the afternoon of May 24, 2024, the lecture ‘Disassembling Servers, Expanding Infrastructures: The Case of Meta Data Centre’, co-sponsored by the Institute of Future Rule of Law of Renmin University of China (RUOC), the Center for Teaching and Research on Digital Law of the School of Law of Renmin University of China (RUOC), the Interdisciplinary Interdisciplinary Platform on Scientific and Technological Revolution and Future Rule of Law (ITPRD), and the International Association of Digital Law (IADL) was held simultaneously in The lecture ‘Breaking Down Servers and Expanding Infrastructure: The Case of Meta Data Centre’ was held simultaneously in Room 205, Mingde Law Building, Renmin University of China, and the online meeting room. Mr Jean-Christophe Plantin, Associate Professor of the Department of Media and Communication at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK, gave an excellent lecture with his profound academic background.

The conference was hosted by Mr Zhang Jiyu, Associate Professor of Renmin University of China Law School and Executive Director of the Future Rule of Law Institute. Mr. Hong Yu, Long-appointed Professor and Associate Dean of the School of Media and International Culture of Zhejiang University, Mr. Liu Xiaochun, Associate Professor of the School of Law of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Director of the Internet Rule of Law Research Centre, and Mr. Xiong Bianwan, Associate Professor of the School of Law of Renmin University of China and Researcher of Renmin University of China's Research Centre for Civil and Commercial Law, participated in the talk.
